Captain Andy Foan - Head of Training

Founding director of Skyblue Aero Services, Andy learnt to fly in 1980 and worked as freelance Training Captain for many years flying Shorts 360 and EMB110 Bandeirante aircraft before joining CityFlyer Express where he was TRE/IRE on the ATR 42/72. Andy is also qualified on the Boeing 737 and Dornier 228. He retains a keen interest in classic aviation and continues to fly a number of vintage types.

Mrs Lesley Williams - Operations Director

Lesley is joint founding director of Skyblue Aero Services. Prior to her career in aviation she worked in financial administration and customer services, mostly for large insurance companies. She is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day administration of the company including course scheduling and trainee welfare.

'Henry' Garrits - ATR Standardisation Manager

Henry learnt to fly in 1997 and has been a flight instructor since 2002. He has considerable experienc of the ATR having worked for many years as a freelance Type Rating Instructor and Examiner for a number of organisations including Skyblue. He was also advisor to the ICAO Flight Ops team responsible for develoment of DOC 8168 aviation regulations. Henry joined Skyblue as ATR Standardisation Manager in 2021 and it is anticipated that he will take over as Head of Training in due course.

Captain Markus Bünsen - Dornier 228 Course Manager

Captain Markus Bünsen joined the German Navy after leaving school where he flew Dornier 228 in various roles. After leaving the Navy, he became a civil flight instructor and examiner on the type. Markus has also flown the Saab 2000 for various airlines in Germany and Switzerland. He currently flies the Dornier 228 for Aurigny Air Services in Guernsey, as well as Challenger 604/605 business jets. He is also flight operations and training director for Pro Jet in Germany.

Ground and Synthetic Flight Training Instructors and Examiners

All ground and synthetic flight training staff are highly experienced pilots with considerable operational experience on type. Many are current or former airline Training Captains and have held senior management positions within major airlines. Detailed CVs of all staff are available for inspection upon request.
